My experience in cave

English Moment

Most of people in Goiás don’t know the most amazing place in Brazil. Its name is State Park Terra Ronca. I stayed there in 2001 when I was graduate student in Industrial Chemistry.

This went the first time that I entered in the cave. It’s the most different place that I saw. In the inside the cave doesn’t have not liked with other place that has light. The animals, plants, floor, smells, textures and all that is the cave are strangest other places than I have seen.
Unfortunately, the most beautiful place is in danger. Tourists destroy the rock formations, they are waiting to take their home some memories of the cave, but this is a depletion of natural heritage which took years and years to establish.

Amazingly, Terra Ronca State Park is one of the largest sites of caves in Latin America. There are waterfalls, hills, caves sculpted by the winds and waters. It is in the cities of São Domingos, Posse and Guarani of Goiás. The most visited places are the Morro do Moleque, the Terra Ronca Cave and Cave of Angélica.

I visited these two caves. Fortunately, my group has a guide who knew the caves and showed us amazing things. I saw the white plant, bats. I had never seen bats up close. Have you ever done scary of bats? Do you think this animal like a vampire? No, no, my bats are only vegetarian.
I passed three days in São Domingos city whit my colleges. I learned many things about rock formation, the influence of water and wind to geology, and diversity of the cerrado and the geological changes on earth.
That's most fantastic thing I have done. Go there!
